Position Title: Senior Software Engineer

Job Description:
Imera Systems is seeking a talented senior software engineer to join our engineering team. We are building integrated appliance and software infrastructure which offers next generation virtual networking and data center solutions. This position is located in San Jose. A qualified candidate should have intensive knowledge and experience in software development in Linux environment and is familiar with TCP/IP and C programming. A successful candidate is expected to be a team player who can fit into a dynamic startup environment.
Qualifications:
- 7+ years professional working experience in client-server code on Linux involving socket programming
- Strong C programming skills, with multi-threaded & network programming experience
- Solid knowledge in Unix, TCP/IP and systems programming
- Experienced in general messaging protocol for client-server communication
- Good at system memory management and performance optimization
- Proficient in shell script and other scripting tools
- Working experience in TLS/SSL would be a big plus
- Basic Linux system administration knowledge
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Job Description:
Imera Systems is seeking a pre-sales customer support engineer to join our sales and support team. This role will involve directly with our large enterprise customers, Imera R&D core team, and management team. A qualified candidate should have deep knowledge and experience in Unix environment and networking. This is an excellent career growth opportunity for a motivated IT or engineer professional. A successful candidate is expected to be a team player who can fit into a dynamic startup environment.
This position is located in Silicon Valley.
Qualifications:
- 7~12 years of related experience
- Unix environment requirements:
- Familiar with X windows, remote desktop solutions such as VNC, NX, Exceed On Demand, HP Thin Client, Citrix, etc.
- Familiar with AFS, NFS mount management, Unix user account management
- Hands-on experience in Unix shell scripts is a plus
- Networking knowledge and experience:
- Firewalls, switch routers, proxy servers, web services, load balancer, etc.
- EDA and or design knowledge is a plus
- Technical account management
- Good communication skills
- Great team player
