Imera Systems and Amazon Web Services Team up to Offer Enterprises a Solution for Implementing Effective Separation of Duties in the Cloud

SAN JOSE, Calif., August 8, 2011 - Imera Systems teams up with Amazon Web Services to offer enterprises a solution for implementing effective separation of duties in the public cloud environment.

Security in public clouds is a shared model, where public cloud providers have the responsibilities for securing the computing environment they control (e.g., hypervisor layer, physical hardware, and facilities), and enterprise customers have the responsibilities for securing their computing environments and operations (e.g., guest OS, applications). Separation of duties divides the responsibility of protecting the cloud environment between enterprises and cloud providers.

Imera solution enables enterprises to deploy a security fabric as an add-on layer over the Amazon AWS cloud for complete virtual firewall management, health monitoring, compliance management, and virtual application access. Imera security fabric is owned by enterprises and is independent of cloud providers’ low level infrastructure. Enterprise IT can dynamically scale up or down Amazon EC2 resources and protect business critical data, applications, and operations.
