Imera Systems Announces General Availability of Imera Virtual Appliance for the Public Cloud

SAN JOSE, Calif., August 1, 2011- Imera System today announced the general availability of Imera virtual appliance, a software-based Imera gateway that can be easily deployed in the public cloud. Enterprises can now instantly deploy Imera Virtual Fabric™, a layer of security fabric, in the public cloud providers' infrastructure to protect their data, applications, and business operation in the cloud.

Imera virtual appliance can be deployed in a public cloud instance by enterprise IT to dynamically establish virtual firewall systems in the cloud without programming the complex security rules of individual cloud instance. Protection on cloud instances can be set up instantly for meeting the dynamic workload of business operations. Different levels of security can be established to provide different level of protection. Imera virtual appliance can be deployed on any cloud service provider platform regardless of the type of underlying hypervisor.
